On the afternoon of August 31, 2023, the final selection of the "Top 10 HR Managers in Yangzhou City in 2023", sponsored by the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of the Communist Party of China Yangzhou Municipal Committee and the Yangzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, came to an end. Li Feijin, Executive Director of Jiangsu Neway Power Technology Co., Ltd., won the runner up in the "Yangzhou Top 10 HR Managers Selection". Neway Power submitted a human resource management case and was awarded the "Excellent Human Resource Management Case Award".

After strict qualification review and initial expert evaluation in the early stage, 15 excellent HR managers with high professional literacy from all over the city stood out and competed for the top ten. At the final stage, the contestants will conduct "results display" and "on-site Q&A" based on the order of the draw, and the judges will give on-site ratings based on the contestants' comprehensive performance.

Teacher Li has rich human resource management practices and profound theoretical understanding. From a strategic and business perspective, she shared Neway Power's practice in human resource management with HR colleagues and audiences from key enterprises across Yangzhou, fully showcasing her personal style and image as Niu Wei. Talent is the core resource of a company, and the ability to manage talent is the core competitiveness of the company. As a start-up company, Neway Power faces challenges such as a shortage of professional talents and a lack of talent cultivation and incentive mechanisms.


Since joining Neway Power, Teacher Li has led the human resources team to quickly establish a comprehensive talent management mechanism over the past six months. Through talent selection (establishing recruitment funnel, laying out talent map, optimizing recruitment channels), talent cultivation (carrying out qualification construction, launching Niuwei School, and strengthening cadre selection), and the implementation of a combination strategy of talent incentives (implementing comprehensive incentives), a good situation has been formed of "recruiting outstanding talents, training in actual combat, and rewarding based on merit". Regarding this, Teacher Li answered as follows:


01."Firstly, let me understand this' attraction '. The magnitude of the attraction of celestial bodies may be related to their weight. So, what is the attraction of a company and what is it related to? I believe that the attraction of a company is the employer's brand value proposition and the ability to attract talent. What is this attraction related to? It is related to the company's size, status, strength, and salary? Is it true that the attraction of a large company is necessarily stronger, while that of a small company is?" Does the company's gravity necessarily become weaker? No, I don't think so. The 'points' that each person can be attracted to are different. Take myself as an example. Why did I jump from a big company to a small one. I hope to experience from 0 to 1 in a small company. Moreover, I believe that China's hope lies in private enterprises, especially small private enterprises‘ I, with a high school diploma, am willing to take a group of elementary school students from private small enterprises to attend junior high school, high school, and university together. So, as a company, we need to build a unique employer brand value proposition to attract the people we should attract.


02.Secondly, let me talk about how to strengthen 'gravity'. I want to use Gallup's Q12 to illustrate that the 12 questions are actually about what an organization should do for its employees, so that employees can trust, appreciate, and love the organization, and continue to contribute value to the organization. For example, organizations need to provide sufficient resources and information for employees, regularly communicate with employees about their progress and development, and timely praise them. If every enterprise can truly value and practice, I believe it can become an attractive company. What the organization should do for its employees is mentioned above.


Finally, I would like to talk about what employees should do for the organization. This reminds me of Drucker's "The Effective Manager.". The core of a knowledge worker is contribution, not knowledge or ability. He should actively think about what the organization needs and what I can contribute to it.


In this uncertain era, employees can only achieve mutual success by fully integrating with the organization. This is like magnets and iron, they attract each other. This is also the mission of human resource management, promoting organizational business success and promoting employees' self realization
